News!

Yes, we are again in the middle of tax season, but that's not what I wanted to share. We are expecting our 5th baby!!!!! We are all so excited. It took a little longer than we expected to be ready for another baby, but we can't wait for this one to come. I am due August 14th. :)
Life has been pretty normal despite the few and far between glimpses we catch of Jason now and then! We miss him! Jonathan and Shayden have both accomplished scout milestones this past month. Jonathan completed 6 merit badges and is now a "Star" scout. To those of you who have no idea what that means, he now is working on his "Life" merit badge, and then comes the "Eagle." He is doing well and enjoys scouts. He also recently got his first "A" of the year on a math test and was so excited. Shayden recently earned his Webelos badge, Arrow of Light award, and religious knot in scouts. He is excited to be an 11 year-old scout now. Shayden also recently received an "exceeds" mark on the state science test. Kolby and Isaac are growing up. Kolby will be 8 next month and will be baptized in April. Isaac loves playing with friends, learning to read, and can't wait until he goes to kindergarten in the Fall.
Well, that's all for now. :)

Isaac has been wanting to learn to play the piano like his brothers, so I have taught him a few songs by ear and fingering. He was being funny and showing off, so I had to share!

Halloween!!!

We had a fun Halloween filled with costumes, carving, science projects, trick or treating, and, of course, CANDY! Yes, I know, it's sugar and it's bad for you etc., etc., etc. Our favorite thing to do with the candy is have a big trading session. As you'll see in the pictures, the kids divide the floor up and spread their candy out in their section. They categorize the candy and then the trading commences!! The boys love doing this (and so do Jason and I) and tend to trade several different times for days. This is more fun than eating it!!! Well . . . . . not everyone might say that. :)
I just thought it was time to share a bit of our fun. Hope you enjoy.
(Clockwise from top: Jonathan as the "Grim Reaper", Shayden as an "Evil Jester", Isaac as "Anikan Skywalker", and Kolby as "Mario", from Super Mario Bros.)

We're in the thick-of-it now!

For some reason, the last time I updated this blog was during tax season. Hmmmm. I have to break this tradition! I've thought about updated before now, but we put a new program to download our digital pictures to and I haven't figured it out yet. :) Good excuse, huh.
We have had a good year and continue to keep busy. All the kids are growing, and they won't slow down!

Jonathan turned 12 in January and received the priesthood! He has been so excited about it. He was a bit nervous passing the sacrament for the first time, but did just fine. It's just so crazy thinking he's in YM now! He still has a great smile and can be so helpful and sweet. Being in middle school has come with excitement about growing up, and challenges with keeping grades up. He is determined to work on those grades because he wants to enjoy his summer break! When talking about girls with him one day (I found out that he has actually noticed a couple in his class!!!!), Shayden and I were quizzing him on their hair and eye color. When asked about their eye color he said, "I didn't think I was supposed to get close enough to see that yet." What a good boy I have!!
Shayden just turned 10 and is excited to be in Webelos now. He enjoys going to cub scouts and likes to play basketball and football with the other boys in the gym. I have been teaching he and Jonathan the piano and both are making good progress. Shayden loves to play all the time and is good at trying new things, even if they are hard. Shayden likes being the big brother to Kolby at school, since they are in the same charter school. He is good about checking on Kolby and playing with him at recess if they see one another. He has made many new friends this year and enjoys going to school.
Kolby will be 7 in one month and can't wait. :) He has begun excelling in reading and math as he has adjusted to the new program at the charter school. He has also made a lot of new friends and loves to play at recess. Kolby does well at a lot of sports and will play coach-pitch baseball this year. He is a good boy and reminds me to have family scriptures when I think it's too late. :) He and Isaac play together well and will just be silly and laugh together sometimes. It makes me laugh because they are so cute!! What fun boys I have!
Isaac is my buddy. He turned 4 in October and loves that he is out of Sunbeams and in CTR 4! He has been growing lately and seems so much bigger. The difference between 3 and 4 is huge. We have a lot of fun together while everyone else is gone. We build train tracks, play with his trucks and trailers, do laundry (it is more fun with a 4 year old pushing the clothes into the dryer!), practice the alphabet, read stories, do shape games, do dishes, etc. He is a good helper. Isaac likes to visit his cousin, Dillon, and his new baby sister, Hazel. Isaac also enjoys playing with his friend, Aiden, each Wednesday. He is excited to go to school but will have to be patient since he has an October birthday. Kindergarten won't happen until the fall of 2012, so I will have to get another preschool group together for his coming year. :)

I think I'd better get some pictures on here so all this writing is worth reading! Hopefully I will post sooner than next year!

The Nagle's are all hanging in there as our new year has begun. We have enjoyed a relaxing Christmas break all together (Jason's office closed the week of Christmas and New Years). Now tax season has started and we see him less and less each day of the week now including Saturday. But hey, we are already down to just 3 more months of it!!!! Just keep thinking positive, right?! I was also called to be the ward's primary president one week ago. I had been the secretary and very much wanted to keep that calling, but I guess the Lord wants me to progress a little faster, spiritually speaking. Today was my first Sunday "in charge" and, let's just say that it didn't go quite like I imagined. To find the positive side of it, everyone is still alive, in one piece, and will be back next week (hopefully)! At least there won't be a Relief Society VT conference to coordinate youth substitutes for next week. A word to the wise, holding a VT conference where all women in the ward are encouraged to attend in January isn't very good timing for primary considering all the changes that just happened with the beginning of the year. Enough on my new woes at church. :)
But first, I really am grateful for the opportunity to understand the spirit better and grow closer to my Father in Heaven.

Our first real Christmas tree (9 1/2 ft. tall!) We had so much fun cutting it down ourselves!

Isaac wanted to help "cut" the trees down! The chain saw was a little loud for him!
