Our first real Christmas tree (9 1/2 ft. tall!) We had so much fun cutting it down ourselves!

Isaac wanted to help "cut" the trees down! The chain saw was a little loud for him!

Jason's B-day

I have to mention that Jason had his birthday on March 15th also! We were so glad it was a Sunday because we were able to spend the entire day together! Kolby's b-day

Time has flown by and I have neglected to update everyone about Kolby's birthday! Kolby had his birthday on March 15! Kolby turned 5 and is so excited to go to kindergarten this fall. Breakfast surprise!

The kids don't have school today (due to budget cuts in the district) so we all slept in and took it easy. Jason woke me up with a huge smile and told me the boys had a surprise for me! At first I wasn't allowed in the kitchen, but when they realized they might need a little advice they let me in. Apparently they wanted to make me breakfast and instead of the usual toast and hot chocolate(their specialty) they decided to go gourmet and make me pumpkin chocolate chip bread!! They had found a recipe and were busy mixing in all the ingrediants! They did it all and it tasted yummy!! What sweet boys!
Shayden just had his 8th birthday on February 6! How do these kids grow up so fast?! He is planning on being baptized on Feb. 28th and has already been able to go to cub scouts. His birthday was on the pine wood derby day so he got to participate in that for the first time. Here are 10 things I love about Shayden:
1. He loves to give me hugs and kisses!
2. He enjoys life and wants to try everything he can
3. Shayden is a go getter and has great self-confidence!
4. Shayden loves to read
5. He loves to help his little brothers
6. Shayden tries to do what is right
7. Shayden always reminds us to have family scripture time
8. Shayden is so good at telling me I am a good mom even when I don't agree!
9. He loves to exercise and be healthy
10. He loves to make others happy! :)

He is the best Shayden I know!! We love to have him in our family.
