I just wanted to finally get something of interest posted on our blog and sent to everyone. We were able to move into our first home the weekend of Thanksgiving (talk about timing)! It is everything we were hoping for in a home for our family right now. The kids are in the same schools they have been in this year, we are in the same ward, we live in a cul-de-sac across from a park, we have a fenced back yard, and a large enough house for our family to have plenty of room. I get warm fuzzies just thinking about having our own house now! Everyone is adjusting and settling, making friends and trying to keep warm in the Troutdale wind. Jason's job is going well and he is enjoying it. Tax season is just starting to pick up for him, tomorrow will be his last Saturday off until April 15th. After experiencing several weeks in a row of crazy busy days I am realizing that this is pretty much the norm. So, now that I've caught on (slowly as usual) I am adjusting and starting to "go with the flow" a little more. Today I had 7 boys (4 of them mine) playing in and around my house having a blast while pretending to be wizards. Coming around a corner to find a 10 year old shouting "expecto patronum" and pointing a "wand" at me can be a little attention grabbing. Jason tells me I'm going to turn into a boy because of all the testosterone flying around here. I just tell him "no way" as I add a little more pink to my decor and strawberry scented oil to my burner. I wonder if thats why I notice my hormones (girl ones of course) fluctuating more than I remember. hmmm. Oh well. Now that i have finally gotten this blog set up I think it could be kinda fun. Now i just get to wait for all of you to say "hi"! Love, Misha
P.S. I just had to add the pictures. The one of all the boys is at the Portland zoo, which we have loved going to. The others are pretty self explanatory. Isaac definitely loves to color, and Kolby, well, I think he was getting in touch with the 2 year old in him!
